Zip cover

Step 1: Remove bed covers 

Before you put any bed cover, make sure that you remove all the pillow, extra stuff, and bedsheet. Start with a bare mattress; it will be so much easier to put on the cover. 

Step 2: Slide the mattress out 

There is no way you can put on the zipper mattress cover without pulling the bed out. Pull the mattress 4 inches forward and with someone help make the mattress stand upright. You can rest the mattress against a wall. 

Step 3: Slide the mattress cover 

To put on the mattress cover, make sure you start from the top part. When you slide the cover from the top part, it is easier to zip. 

Step 4: Close the zip 

You can’t zip the mattress while it is still standing upright. Lay the mattress back on the bed, but do not push it in. Zip the mattress and then push it all the way; you can make your bed now.

Fitted bed cover 

Fitted bed protectors are more accessible to put on than zip protectors as they have elastic on the side for snug grip. Let see how you can put on the fitted mattress cover: 

Step 1: Remove bedding and pillow 

Before you start putting on the bedding, it is crucial to remove everything on the bed. It is essential to wipe your mattress down and dust away any dirt before putting on a cover. 

Step 2: Pull the mattress out 

You need to use your strength to pull the mattress out at least 4-inches. This will help you in putting the bed cover tightly. 

Step 3: Place the bed cover in the middle 

Open the bed cover fully and spread it in the middle of the mattress. Pull the elastic towards the headboard side. Lift the cover tightly and tug the access part below the mattress. Do the same thing for the foot of the bed. 

Step 4: Slide mattress back 

After putting on the mattress cover properly, push the mattress back in place. You can put on your favorite bedsheet now and make the bed.
