This is an all-foam model that has a cradling feel. It adjusts to the body’s curves, offering optimal support for each section and making the pressure redistribute evenly. I, for one, tested the Puffy in all sleep positions and felt almost weightless every time.
Another cool thing that makes the Puffy mattress suited for Airbnb and vacation rentals is the cover. First of all, it’s removable. As a result, the cover can adjust to different sleeping styles without stretching out and developing unattractive indentations. The next mattress I would like to share with you is the AS3 by Amerisleep. If you ever have guests suffering from back pain, they should be very happy sleeping on this mattress. The Amerisleep AS3 is adaptive and delivers optimal support to keep the back neutral and pressure-free. Additionally, it has a zoned transition layer, which only enhances the effect. I, for one, tested the Amerisleep AS3 after straining my lower back. Luckily, I felt relief after only a few nights.
This model by Amerisleep also has a pretty balanced feel for an all-foam mattress. I felt gently cradled, but the hug wasn’t deep enough to make me feel stuck. That’s why I believe the Amerisleep AS3 will appeal to a wide range of sleepers, even people who don’t typically use memory foam mattresses at home.
I tested the Amerisleep AS3 and found it had a perfect amount of sinkage that cushions and supports, which may help with back pain. I measured its compressions at around 2.18 inches (2 inches being a good benchmark for comfort, and anything over 3 inches being too soft for firm support). This is similar to the Winkbed, with the Amerisleep AS3 firmer by 9.1%.

When testing, I didn’t notice any exceptional cooling ability from the Amerisleep AS3’s use of Celliant, but I also didn’t overheat.
Within the cover is the first comfort layer, 3 inches of Bio-Pur memory foam. I noticed it was cradling as well as entirely temperature neutral. I was cooler on the Amerisleep AS3’s Bio-Pur foam than on traditional memory foam.
The next layer is 2 inches of firmer foam that uses HIVE zoned technology. This is similar to the Zoma Start, albeit more complicated. I felt near-instant pressure relief while lying down on this layer, and felt the tension in my back melt away.
Below the HIVE foam layer is a 7-inch base made of high-density foam, which I found to be springy and firm.

Based on our first-hand experience, the Amerisleep AS3 was plush enough to gently cradle my shoulder and hips while I was on my side. I was also comfortable on my back, with the Bio-Pur layer filling in the space around my lumbar and supporting my spine.

If you want to get a hybrid mattress for your vacation rental property, the WinkBed is your guy. This mattress can boast of impressive quality, so it should easily handle the constant flow of guests. I even tested the WinkBed by jumping on it, but it didn’t cause any damage. This means the mattress is safe if there will be kids at your rental property.
I also love that the WinkBed doesn’t sleep hot. The mattress is breathable (courtesy of the coils), plus the cover is moisture-wicking and cool to the touch. This means your guests won’t complain about night sweats. I, for one, tested the WinkBed with my AC off. I didn’t notice any unusual temperature fluctuations during the night and felt perfectly comfortable.
I tested Winkbed, and found its bounce value to be excellent, showing that hybrids like Winkbed can offer an excellent mix of comfort and support without sacrificing ease of movement in bed. Winkbed had a bounce value of 9.89 inches, which is 33% more bounce than the Amerisleep AS3 (reasonably common for all-foam mattresses.)

Price: The Winkbed is priced a little higher than my criteria, however, it is still worth considering due to its technology and ability to deliver excellent comfort.
Comfort: Thanks to a mix of plush foam and coils, the Winkbed offers excellent comfort. I measured its sinkage at 2.36 inches, which is enough for weight redistribution and effective pressure relief. I also rated its firmness at 6.5 as it has a gentle hug that’s pleasantly offset by the responsive coils beneath.
Durability: The Winkbed has excellent stitching and an impressive euro pillow-top, which I rated at an 8.5.
Design and Construction
The cover of the Winkbed is made of Tencel, which I noticed to be naturally cool to the touch. The cover also has a tufted design which I think elevates the overall luxurious look of this model.
Within the quilted pillow top is an initial layer of 2 inches of gel memory foam, which I noticed to feel soft, cradling, and cool. I felt needed pressure relief while lying on this layer.
Underneath the gel memory foam are robust coils that have a zoned construction. They offer an excellent springiness that offsets the cushioning pillow top, which I found to be enveloping without much restriction.
Along the perimeter are reinforced coils that give the edges more resistance to weight. When I was testing the edges, I found their edge support was excellent, and even helped boost me up when standing.
Based on Our Tests
When we trialed this mattress, I found I was moderately cradled with good support while on my side. I found I was more ‘on’ the mattress, and I had good spinal alignment while on my back with enough sinkage for comfort.
